Ukraine Wins Naval War With Russia

Ukraine has won and Russia has conceded defeat in the naval war. Ukraine, who doesn’t have a navy, has forced Russia to withdraw its remaining fleet from Crimea to occupied Georgia. They have sunk or damaged over half of the Black Sea Fleet’s warships including a submarine, which resulted in the fleet being declared “functionally inactive”. This is pretty devastating for Russia because warships are some of the most expensive assets a country has, they take a decade to make and even longer to make operational. And now you have experts at the Atlantic Council saying that this proves that Russia’s threats and red lines are empty. Ukraine was supposed to be nuked and launched into outer space, but instead Putin quietly ordered his forces to retreat after humiliating defeat. Earlier this year it flew under the radar but Ukraine broke Russia’s blockade of the Black Sea – allowing imports and exports to flow freely.
