Putin faces ‘powerful’ threat as the UK pledges military aid to Ukraine for ‘as long as it takes’

“32 nations in Nato last week did the same, stepping up long-term commitments to support Ukraine, which are important to Ukraine, but also a powerful signal to Putin.”

The UK will provide military aid to Ukraine “for as long as it takes”, says defence secretary John Healey.

  1. That presenter is woeful and beginning to sound like a Russian sympathiser. How many times does the dude need to say the UK supports Ukraine?

  2. Serious question: if Trump wins and withdraws all assistance to Ukraine, can the EU or the rest of NATO support Ukraine or are they also too reliant on American military that they can’t do anything?

Serious question 2: if EU or NATO minus USA does have the capabilities to pick up the slack after Trump stops helping Ukraine, will they?

  3. Sober rhetoric here from the new Foreign Minister. He says he doesn't know how Trump will end the war if elected. That's a prudent allowance on his part. Half way through this interview, I haven't heard a question about Germany cutting aid to Ukraine by fifty percent in the not to distant future. Meanwhile, the US slips further into debt to the tune of $1 trillion every one hundred days.

  4. Every day Times Radio posts very encouraging news about the war in Ukraine. Which is what we want to hear, of course. However, the reality seems rather different, with no end in sight to this war. So you ever report the bad news about this war?

  5. The problem with the Brits and all Euros is they use so many words, but their words mean nothing. A steady stream of blah-blah-blah that is just a combination of pomposity and delusion All this talk about British military support for Ukraine, but they have nothing to offer.

  6. It doesn't matter what drumpf said at some rally. He isn't going to be the president, so whatever he thinks about Ukraine doesn't matter.

  7. Nato started this conflict with their ever encroachment towards thd Russian border, Zelenskys a crook and as fir the uk military…well thats just a joke at this stage
