  1. Just order airplane parts from AliExpress. And choose the cheapest ones you can find. I can’t think of a reason why that’s problematic.

  2. How many rusky pilots really want to fly these things, using blyat parts.

  3. “But I thought sanctions didn’t work” 🤣

Generally sanctions impact the civilian sectors and less prominent government and military operations first. The sanctioned country can scavenge from those to keep the more important stuff running and anything they can get past sanctions will be prioritised for what’s important. Beyond that, Russia was expecting sanctions even before they invaded and stockpiled some purchased goods and parts in advance… they just didn’t think they would need to stockpile for a multi year war.

That the more important and prominent military equipment is starting to suffer for lack of parts and experienced servicemen shows the sanctions have gone deep enough and long enough to impact Russia at the highest levels and Russia is at the end of its stockpiles and failing to skirt sanctions sufficiently.

  4. “… According to investigators, representatives of the enterprise, in order not to disrupt the defense order,
bought **bearings** of unknown origin from 2017 to 2022 and supplied them as part of the wheels …”
    Oh, bearings again.
Probably ball bearings like in the case of cargo rail cars.
Maybe these were made by the company GPZ in earlier times.
Still exists, you know 🙂 :

Okay, 2017 was before the invasion, but there were already sanctions
    because of Crimea.

“… As a result, the use of poor-quality components in the wheels led to the failure and cessation
of operation of **five** IL-76MD-90A aircraft. …”
    But who knows.
Counterfeit spare parts led to the cessation of all IL-18 operations in Russia in the 90s.
“The products were accompanied by forged documents… “.
Once they start checking other documents …

Just today I have written in relation to tanks:
Wait, if I would say anything positive about Russian quality control,
then I could also tell you that I’m going ice climbing in the Belarusian mountains next summer.
(highest point in Belarus is Dzyarzhynskaya Hara, 345m)
