  1. This guy is a complete buffoon, playing the harbinger of Ukraine doom and peddling Putin's narrative for two years now.
"Balancing" the liberation of Kherson with a minor tactical nuisance operation being called off, or "equating" the losses between Krinky and Avdiivka is plain, nonsensical Kremlin crud.
No amount of Russian success in Krinky will erase the humiliation of Ukrainian soldiers grinning in front of "Kherson forever with Russia" billboards only weeks after Putin's illegal referenda.
There is simply no way 300 Ukrainians in Krinky can incur the same losses as 30K Russians in the Avdiivka meat grinder. The scale is two orders of magnitude off.

This little "looking at both sides" routine is about as convincing as carefully weighing the narrative of a flat-earther against Newtonian physics.
Of course this bullshit comes complete with hundreds of braindead Kremlin bots, notably stating how unbiased, or even pro-Ukrainian, the guy is. It's an insult to the viewers intelligence.

  2. at times willy is very ignorant, krinky has always been rubbles since 2023.. but they kept sending men down there, it amazes my that willy don't know about this. talk about following this war but only accept selected fews information that suits your taste eh willy?

  3. There is a reason Willy hasn't been back to report in Ukraine and that's because the SBU (Ukrainian Secret Police) has added him to zee list and Willy is aware of this go on tell me that im wrong !

  4. Willie, I hate to remind you that it was the Russians that chose to withdraw across the Dnieper from Kherson while under no pressure whatsoever from the Ukrainians to do so. It is patently ridiculous for you to claim that that withdrawal constitutes the Ukraine's 'greatest tactical victory' when, in fact, it was a Russian Tactical Retreat in advance of and in preparation for the Ukrainian Offensive in the south that commenced in early June of 2023 in Zaporozhye Oblast. I hate to remind you but following the Russian withdrawal from the City of Kherson and transfer of all Russian and NovoRossiyan Forces onto the East Bank of the Dnieper, it took the Ukrainian Army 3 full days to enter the city as the Ukrainians believed they might be entering a trap. I have the height of respect for the work that you do but making and repeating patently untrue assertions that constitute no more than Zelensky-propaganda does your channel no good whatever.

  5. Umm Russia withdrew from that bank in order to not get destroyed since the logistics made no sense. To say that they were “pushed back” can be seen as disingenuous

  6. Theres a RUSI article and interview where for British guys they were pretty fair for once, what they said was although desth toll was high for Russia in barhkmuht, they were primarily ex-cons and with little training, and actaul qaulity wagners troops were only dyimg around 20 to 40 a week. So as far as loss of fighting capacity and qaulity, it had little negative effect on Russia.

  7. Parliament looks to investigate Krynky operation. In an interview with RFE/RL, Bobrovska noted that the operation, which began in late 2023, may have been of questionable military value. “In my opinion, this area has received the least coverage of all. It has been significantly overlooked throughout the operation, since late October [2023]. There were already signs that should have alerted us to the fact that troops were ordered to advance without realistic objectives and support.” On July 16, Ukrainian media reported, citing a source in the General Staff, that Ukrainian troops were forced to retreat from Krynky. The news has led the Ukrainian public to question the soundness of the entire operation, which is seen as a failure to produce meaningful results, costing Ukraine dearly in personnel casualties.

In the TOP-3 of the maddest persistent operations in military history. Deepstate [a UA site] have updated their map on Krynky, and just like that, the glorious 'Krynky breakthrough' is over, catch is, it was over like 2 months ago, but Ukrainians insisted it wasn't lost like Soledar.

  10. Must have been the Brits that thought Krynky was a great idea – they’ve grown up believing their own propaganda about d-day that they’re the goat when it comes to amphibious attacks, whereas there are many more massive failures in recent British military history than successes – Gallipoli, Norway, Dieppe etc

  11. Preditor channel speaks about troops being abandoned to fend for themselves and how troops orginised a break out among those in and out of encirclement luck they got out.

  12. When Willy mentions pro-Ukrainian propagandists "avoiding the draft or in safe countries finding relevance on the Internet" a few names come to mind, some are even showing up in my recommended videos as I write this. I'm glad to see a commentator that has the integrity to call them out.

  13. I dunno why, but I think this videos explanation of your standing was the best. I've heard and understood it for a long time, but this delivery stuck bro.

  14. You should have been making this video 6 months ago then when they were trying to hold that ground in the freezing winter and getting their boat sunk in the middle of a frozen River trying to get supplies across

  15. Halleluja, Willy. You said it. Possibility of taking Odessa and linking up with Transnistria!!!! I have been telling my mates this for months, yet everyone either ignores it or doesn't understand the ramifications.

  16. One thing that I would like to hear more from all commentators, regardless of bias, is that this whole conflict was avoidable but for the egos of a handful of people and has been a tragic waste of life for everyone involved that will leave a lasting negative legacy for at least a generation. There is nothing righteous about war generally, but especially not this one. It was triggered as the result of decades of bad faith between Kiev and the separatist regions of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk and there seems an unbelievable ignorance regarding the actions taken between 2011 and 2018 by Ukraine to reassert its control over these regions by shelling its own citizens.

Russia's interest in these areas aside from its claim to the port of Sevastopol was only fostered by Ukraine's own greed by hiking its transit fees for Russian gas passing through its territory to reach markets in Europe. Originally, Russia had built the NordStream 1 pipeline together with Germany to link its producers with distributors in Europe as a means of avoiding the costly transfer through Ukrainian territory, a move that generated value for both economies and dramatically reduced energy and heating costs in Europe.

Then in response to the massive loss of revenue, Ukraine continued to hike transit fees on the remaining transiting gas which prompted Russia to develop a new pipeline system NordStream 2 to completely redirect its gas from Ukraine entirely. That is why Ukraine destroyed it. And then in response to that, Russia decided that it was going to invent the ethnic and cultural protection argument as a moral basis to justify their annexation of the aforementioned provinces, which really is just revenge on Ukraine for blowing up its pipeline and trying to extract more money from its transit agreements.

It is all revenge but fostered over a relatively short time period and people are getting distracted from the economic issues which are the real cause while they tangle themselves up in irrelevant historical, cultural, demographic or political issues. Those are convenient excuses to justify the extreme actions being taken but have very little practical import to either Moscow or Kiev. But obviously Kiev wasn't ever going to accept this and they continued to maintain military pressure in the east which then ultimately left Russia from its perspective with no choice but to take direct action against Ukraine.

The Russians wrongly believed that Ukraine would be weak, soft and that in similar fashion to the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 where they rolled virtually unopposed into Baghdad they'd simply roll into Kiev and Kharkiv with little effort and arrest the Ukrainian government. Ukraine eventually taught them a lesson they wont soon forget about not underestimating your enemy. It only caught everyone off guard because this is literally the largest military operation that Russia has been involved in since the fall of the Soviet Union and everyone had outdated ideas about Russia's military capabilities.

Thus, to them, Ukraine appeared to be performing miraculously when actually it was purely Russian miscalculation and overconfidence that created the opportunity for Ukraine as a united and committed force to repel them using similar weapons and tactics. It should be noted that Russia at the time had only committed 120000 soldiers to the invasion and were counting on speed and shock to force a quick capitulation. They were completely caught off guard by the defense including the numbers they were facing, about 230000 in the original mobilization, and due to Russia's lack of firepower and its lack of robustness in logistics they were easily rolled back by Ukraine.

This isn't to talk down what Ukraine achieved. But we need to be accurate about what happened and not be delusional. And as Ukraine gained dramatically increased capability and range through the provision of Western armaments, they were able to seriously press the advantage, liberating the entirety of the north and the south (except for Crimea) while pushing the Russians well back inside the territories they'd annexed in 2018. However, as the Ukrainians encroached on denser population centres, places they'd previously shelled between 2011 and 2018, they stalled out and suffered some catastrophic reversals which ultimately saw them lose the strategic city of Bahkmut.

Then, again in the Spring when they received the new Western tanks, they had success on a relatively wide front in the south, advancing at Orikhiv, Huiliapol and Velyka Novoselivka, eventually pushing as far as Robotyne in the centre towards Tokmak and Staromyiorske/Urozhaine to the east in the Mariupol direction, denting the Suroviken Line but not breaching it as had been the expectation. One thing that stood about about the Russian defense in this front was that not only did they have tremendous depth but they seemed unconcerned about abandoning vulnerable positions when risk of encirclement was present and counterattacking from stronger positions when opportunity presented itself.

Since then, the offensive has belonged almost exclusively to the Russians and while there are parts of the Ukrainian front that seem to have learned and practice this same defensive doctrine, there are too many places where they don't and this has led to relatively dramatic losses of territory which gives the outward appearance that Russia is performing substantially better while Ukraine is performing substantially worse. That isn't really the case but it is how it looks, based on the very little reliable information there is about the conflict.

There is no question that Russia has the upper hand on the battlefield at the moment and given Ukraine's documented challenges it doesn't seem probable that they will be able to dramatically reverse the battlefield situation in the immediate term. But this frontline is too dynamic and fluid to say for certain what it will look like by next Spring and now that the West has so publicly stated its own investment in the outcome, it has transformed what would otherwise simply be a border dispute that could likely have been resolved through international forum into a geopolitical contest that has genuine regional and global ramifications over which we really have no control.

  17. Denys said Ukraine won the battle, he says they win all the time. Why does this channel use facts and truth in the presentation?

  18. "People have this everything-is-fine approach…"
The willful ignorance seen in pro-Ukraine people has been nicknamed "cope".

  19. Willy the only who not show war map in harkiv where he still show map where the 400 russian surrended.
