Went on a group walk today around Meopham. A wild trolley , two in fact, were seen frolicking in a field…

  1. That second photo is a good one.

Worthy of a place in the Countryfile calendar, that is.

  2. Please do not disturb, they nest this time of year

  3. Wow, you can barely spot it in the second photo due to its natural camouflage. I’m surprised you managed to get this close without scaring it away.

  4. Ah the great crop circle trolley. A rare sight in daylight.

  5. So nice to see them in the wild again rather than chained up outside a supermarket

  6. Here we have the lesser spotted Morrisons trolley, slowly being pushed out of its habitat by by urbanisation and invasive species from Europe which have spread across much of the UK across the last 20 years.

There are a couple of sanctuaries which specialise in trolley rehabilitation however this one looks to have been separated from the herd, perhaps it is too sick or old as it meanders across the fields in search of much needed water.

  7. They must’ve got separated from the herd in the creek next to Morrison’s in Strood. 🥺

  8. Unusual to see one outside of its natural habitat, the canal

  9. Anyone else think this was some sort of disappearing trick until they opened the 2nd pic?
