Errors in EU spending still far too common, auditors say

  1. Who could’ve imagined that giving politicians power over money that they didn’t work for through multiple bureaucratic layers would lead to misuse or general inefficiency?

    And anyways, why do we kid ourselves thinking that the EU has some magical divine insights on how and where to invest capital? Or if that’s the case, why didn’t anyone tell me that we could just replace the free market with French and German politicians?
