I have a balcony door that is stuck in tilt mode, it won’t open horizontally so I can’t get out to my balcony. I believe something is wrong with the handle mechanism, as turning it does nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried closing it, without the curtain in the gap, pushing it shut, moving the handle to the closed position (down), then moving it to the middle position to open it normally?
