    To be clear, I’ll vote for whichever Democrat is atop the ticket, but I’m not the type of voter who will decide this election.

You could see it in his face and how he moved. 5 minutes into the thing, my girlfriend and I were saying to each other he can’t be the candidate. My girlfriend and I are both dealing with parents with cognitive decline. Anybody who’s been through this with their parents can see all the signs. And it’ll get worse quick. The time between now and the election will be enough to notice further diminishment. We all saw what we saw. The jig is up. STOP TRYING TO GASLIGHT YOUR WAY OUT OF IT!

  24. Lifelong establishment politician saying the elites are out to get him is almost as silly as a wealthy reality tv star says it. And sadly, Biden doesn’t sell it as well because he lacks Trump’s pro-wrestling bullshit skills. The fact he’s even trying this argument just seems sad + desperate.

    I’m voting blue, regardless, but these next several months will be far less hellish if Biden does the right thing/passes the torch to Kamala.

  25. The real issue is the complete sham of a primary process. If Biden had actually had to campaign rather than run virtually unopposed, the public would’ve seen his decline earlier and we wouldn’t be in the situation we’re in now.

    At risk of repeating myself, if he were currently comfortably in the lead, nobody would care. But he is behind in every single battleground poll (vs. both Trump AND his own 2020 campaign). This is despite having the massive incumbent advantage this time. The man we all saw on that debate stage is no longer capable of turning this ship around. We need someone who can counter the stream of lies coming from the GOP and actually communicate with the voters we have lost since 2020 (<— not sure that unpopular, lofty word-salad Kamala qualifies for this either either).

Not sure about Biden’s take on this, it’s a bit guilt trippy, but I have no doubt that many elites who may have previously donated to Democrats are aiding and abetting the establishment of fascism right now. We have to be very careful to think for ourselves and not let them influence how we view the situation. If these elites can find ways to further destroy the little people through taking away their Democratic rights, they will do it. And that includes incessantly manipulating the little people to act against their best interests, including setting the only pro-democracy party on fire for this election cycle. They are trying to convince us it’s cool and cloutworthy and a good way to vent anger to sabotage our chances to preserve democracy in November. Not that the Democratic party isn’t part of the problem for not organizing a primary this year, but there is way more to the story than their lack of response to Biden’s situation.

    The stupid thing Americans do that ultimately brings them back into the hands of the abusers SMH.

It’s Trumps favorite just flipped 180, They, as in, “They hate America.” Biden, elites, “As in elites want me out.” No Joe as another post stated it’s a sign of a functioning party at the elite contributor and voter level that there is vigorous debate regarding your ability to be the standard bearer in the same five year period your family would be discussing your need for enrollment in independent living institutions.
