Rejuvenating Oxford Street: New brands given council help as part of a drive to rid the area of “poor-quality” outlets

1. This is a good initiative, but it’s still a public authority trying to undo the damage done by dishonest and unscrupulous commercial property owners, who will ultimately privatise any of the benefits. It would be better to fix the distortions in business rate law, and go after the property owners who use leases to trashy scam shops as a way of evading their tax liabilities.

2. My American candy store isn’t poor Quality. I provide a service for the community.

   An international Trader of luxury desserts and exotic breakfast cereals. Our HQ is in Peckham FFS.

   Please vote against his travesty that goes against family business and values.
