Russia has lost. But Ukraine still needs to win. Retaining all land or NATO membership would be wins IMO. We the west can and should enable both of this for Ukraine.
The author says war over at latest by the next summer at latest. I would stretch that to next autumn to be on the safe side.
Yes ☝️ They just didn’t realize yet.
I hope the author is right in predicting an end to the war next year. I think russia can probably take the pain longer than that, but i agree that the result is a foregone conclusion, even without the US in play. Russia hasn’t been able to *win* since the first week of the invasion, but it’s also lost the ability to force a draw. The question now is whether any nukes get used before the end- but i don’t think even that would change the outcome for putin.
I’ll feel more confident about this when it happens. until then Ukraine’s still got the hordes coming at them
🇺🇦 fuck them up👍🔥
This is a good summary for those who are not following the war on a daily basis.
Not really. They are still fighting and people are dying. That’s like saying someone died 5 years ago and doesn’t know it.
They might be waning. But they haven’t “lost” yet.
Hitlers Germany looked finished in 1944 but still limped into 1945. We gotta keep pouring the pain on Russia.
I delight in the phrase “russia has lost 28 ships to a country with no navy”!!!
If Russia wins the American election I fear the results….
Jesus who wrote this? The glazing is unreal. This is so far detached from reality, I can’t. The only thing that I would say the author is right about is that this war will end with a peace settlement before ’26. However, I think it will be at the cost of ceding occupied land to Russia. Ukraine is outnumbered in every way, the high tech artillery weapons from the west are in low supply and furthermore partially countered by EW. Ukraine is outnumbered in drones 7:1. Russia is sending 30k **volunteers** to the front each month whereas Ukraine has trouble dragging the **draftees** to the front. Even if its true that Russia won’t be able to break through the Ukrainian lines, they are definitely still edging closer to Kramatorsk, Slovyansk and Pokrovsk, the last 3 cities in order to control the entire Donbass. Even if they have the strength to take them, which I don’t think they have; Ukraine doesn’t have the numbers to liberate their country, no matter how much we send them – even if we would increase aid and supplies 10x ; there’s simply not enough volunteers.
Russia has lost – **a lot**. It has not lost the war.
As long as Russia still has Ukrainian lands, Russia has not lost. It has literally won something that it can use as collateral and negotiations. That’s a win for me. As long as that disgrace for a Country still has Ukrainian lands, Ukraine will not have won, and Russia will not have lost completely.
If Hitler would have captured Poland and kept it even after war, and he would not have gone to justice for his crimes, personally that wouldn’t be a loss on my book and I think not on anybody’s book. This prick still gets the pleasure to hold foreign lands and not having been punished
I get a lot of the article, but it must be understood in the context of a prolonged conflict. Historical and military analysts warn that such wars can have unpredictable outcomes and long-term consequences, making it premature to declare a final outcome.
