Weren’t the baltics screaming this will happen and got laughed at on the world stage? “Oh the baltics with their Little green men stories”
Well how the turns have tabled.
But the worshipped imperialism critic, Noam Chomsky, claimed that Russia [“has a case”](https://www.democracynow.org/2015/3/2/noam_chomsky_after_dangerous_proxy_war) for imperialism we need to understand!
> But the fact is, whatever you think about Putin—OK, irritable, rat-faced man with Asperger’s, whatever you like—the Russians have a case. And you have to understand the case. And the case is understood here by people who bother to think. So, for example, there was a lead article in Foreign Affairs, the main establishment journal, by John Mearsheimer.
Today’s Europe is led by modern Chamberlains & Daladiers, except spread around more states than at the time of the Munich Agreement
Too shy, too polite, or even frankly clueless and cowardly
You’d wish realpolitik died looking at the past and recent history, but no _ sigh _
Obama 🤣
They didn’t trust Poland or the Baltic States, they didn’t trust eastern europeans when we told them how russians are. We were just called irrational and “russophobic”
Ukrainians should be grateful that Merkel retired. If she had been still in power it would have ended exactly like the annexation of Crimea in 2014
It’s easy. The West thinks it can save itself by selling out Eastern Europe & the Baltics again. That is the plan – that is the only plan. None of the Western countries want to actually engage Russia. It would bad for business.
Like when you dump sand bags to keep the baloon afloat, EE countries will prolly be sold off again “as a safety measure”.
