Heat-related Texas deaths climb after Beryl left millions without power

1. I’m not at all surprised.  There are a lot of vulnerable people.  The weather has been extreme lately.  It isn’t just air conditioning, imagine not even having cold water. 

2. I hope we can revisit this subject when there is a final death toll. And not just numbers, the story of each individual who died, how they died, and why.

   When we just look at numbers, we lose the humanity of those who lost their lives and the suffering of their loved ones.
