  2. Anyone else just glad the bickering has largely stopped? It was getting nasty in here. It’s done we can finally plot forward.

    I think many of us were not eager to donate to a Biden campaign we did not know would be continuing.

  18. I’m more right than left when it comes to politics but I can’t bring myself to vote for Trump and was really worried for Biden. Now that we have a younger, fresher candidate, I’m happy to give my vote to Harris. I wish her well! Let’s kick ass!

  25. I donated 10$ today. I don’t think I’ve donated to the Democrats since at least 2016, if not 2012.

Just $20, but I was talking to my wife yesterday about how—while that doesn’t make a difference in itself—the new nominee would desperately need a cash influx and if a bunch of other Dems thought the same as me, it could make a huge impact. She agreed, and it seems like we were right! It’s time to circle the wagons and make a big fucking push. If you’re a commenter here that likes to talk a big game, I encourage you to actually do something, make the difference you can, and throw in the equivalent of a decent night out to *actually* fight back, not just talk about it. Quite literally put your money where your mouth is, because for fuck’s sake it is absolutely time to do so.

  31. Two of my kids, both 30somethings, both said they are voting for Democrats today after hearing the news. One previously wasn’t going to vote at all, she’s never been interested in politics. The other was a libertarian RFK Jr fan.

    Initially I was pissed about the changing horses mid-stream discussion. I thought it was too late in the process to even consider it, but if this is what it takes to energize the Democratic party, I Will gladly admit I was wrong. I really hope they capitalize on the energy I’ve been seeing and hearing today.
