  1. Okay, so all of you people who were upset at AOC, Bernie, and progressives for sticking by Biden, ask yourselves…

Do you still care about that at all right now?

And that’s why it was smart. (One of the reasons anyway).

  2. Amazing unity. Please keep it going. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat and I’m old. I’ve never seen this much unity in our party. I plan to ignore all the muckraking articles that will look to exploit any cracks for the sake of clicks.

  3. Democrats would often lament about how it is Republicans who fall in line, but fellow Democrats need to “fall in love”.

This is what falling in line looks like. Progressives and centrists are recognizing that this is the best shot, the only shot, at winning in November. Call it unity.

  4. AOC and Bernie were smart to back Biden.

It showed support for a President who passed largely progressive legislation, and it gave influence to push the administration further on progressive goals. There were very little downsides if Biden stayed in, and all of the downsides if they called for him to drop out and he didn’t.

Now, I’m not surprised whatsoever to see her backing Harris and the other potential candidates (Whitmer, Newsom, Shapiro so far) declining to challenge her. This is a perfect opportunity to unify and get the base energized.

  5. All in and the game is on. Can’t wait until Harris starts singing in aaa minor.

  6. This is quite refreshing to see Democrats uniting and actually supporting a candidate. I don’t care if she wasn’t the Democrats cup of tea in 2020, times have changed, and her brand of politics is way more palatable now.

  7. Predicted this right after her Instagram live, I fully believe she made that info public because she herself didn’t want Harris to be bypassed.

  8. I would say this is the galvanising push we needed for weeks. Different factions across the party coming together behind the nominee.

    Now let’s win this.

  9. Hopefully we’re past the “dropping out of the race would be chaos” narrative. Everyone of consequence and in a position to do so is endorsing Harris with zero dithering.

  10. Just wait until Taylor Swift endorses Harris. The donations will grow exponentially.

  11. So on one hand, we have Biden, Clinton, Whitmer, Shapiro, Newsom, Cooper, Polis, Warren, Porter, Schiff, and AOC.

On the other hand, we have Williamson and Manchin.

    Dems clearly in disarray!

  12. This is a big deal.

I don’t know if everyone realizes it, but AOC instantly getting behind their preferred nominee so quickly sends a message to the entire political landscape: **WE ARE UNITED IN BEATING TRUMP**!

Kudos on AOC. The hype train rolls along!

  13. What’ll be interesting is how these young female republicans attitudes change.

Biden didn’t really say much about them. But Kamala will.

If there’s one thing most women don’t tolerate? It’s other women who are manipulative, dishonest and disrespectful. Women like MTG, Lauren Boebert, Sarah Huckabee etc.

I do not see them getting away with pulling the same shit when Kamala is in office. Biden may have let those antics go unnoticed, but she won’t.

  14. Joe Biden said this was an election to defend the soul of America. I’m ready to carry that message on. Harris 2024

  15. I think it would be cool to get an AOC president one day. She seems to have her shit together.

  16. I think the only sign of opposition I’ve seen at all is from Manchin, and well, he can go f right off.

  17. I legitimately feel hope for the first time in months with Harris as our candidate. I never thought I’d say that, but here we are!

  18. Love her first couple tweets. I hope she and her team have gained valuable experience these last 4 years.

  19. Honestly, the relatively uniform response by the Democratic Party members in government to backing Harris makes me think that Biden had agreed to drop out at least a few days if not a week or more ago. And the last few days of criticism was more lip service for the press while they got conservative, centrist, and progressive Democrats all on board.

  20. AOC is the gold standard.

Her views are clearly progressive and more in line with younger voters and what we should be striving for as a nation.

Yet she is pragmatic enough to understand and work with the current power structure while we attempt to drag the country forward.

  21. This unity is fucking beautiful man. PLEASE let us hold this together. We can do it!!

  22. There we go. Moderates and progressives unite

We can do this if we work together

  23. For months I’ve been dreading this November, afraid of how likely it was we’d be seeing a second Trump term and how dangerous it was because of how many were becoming anti Biden. Today is the first day where I have legit hope.

  24. Hell yeah! I didn’t care for Harris at all during the 2020 primary, but I’m all-in here seeing how the party has gone from broken and broke to united and flush with incoming donations overnight. Let’s do this.

  25. A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I felt the tide turning for Biden and the Democrats. I didn’t ever imagine him dropping, but his heart and empathy for this country rang through this weekend.

I’m excited but cautious for Harris. But I’m happy to see the tables turn here down the last few months on the GOP.

More than anything, let’s harmonize the Democratic Party and push hate and corruption out of our politics.

    Go Blue! ❤️

  26. A united democratic party today. I’m literally crying

  27. Let’s fucking win this. I’ve never been so pumped to go out and vote for a presidential election!
