    “Obviously, Ukraine’s decision fundamentally threatens the security of energy supply to Hungary and Slovakia. This is an unacceptable step on the part of Ukraine, which wants to be a member of the EU”, – said Szijarto, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.

    According to him, such a decision allegedly “is a clear violation of the Association Agreement with the EU”.

  3. If you have ever made an agreement in Hungary you will find that they will violate it and do what suits them. This includes their actions as supposedly members of the EU.

Wouldn’t shock me if Ukraine found out they were using it to embezzle money to Russia by buying it at a super high rate/cost and they figured it was worth shutting the tap…I don’t think any agreement can force Ukraine to allow Russian anything through their territory if they don’t want it. Besides, if Orban tries to use courts to stop it, I’m sure Ukraine has receipts and can easily disrupt the flow and shrug anytime they want.

  14. I did argue for Hungary that their only refinery was built for Ural oil. But that was 2022. Two and a half years later, that is no longer a valid reason to want to keep licking the nazi’s boots.
