The administrator of the Telegram channel, who disseminated unauthorized information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, may end up behind bars for a term of three to eight years. For now, he will spend two months in the Zaporozhye pre-trial detention center, the court ruling says.

He is accused of unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Investigators noticed a dozen messages in the Telegram channel, which spoke about the movement of equipment, which is unacceptable under martial law. It was determined that the original source of the video was the Supernova+ channel. The court agreed that the administrator of this channel should be detained. Therefore, he will be in the Zaporozhye pre-trial detention center for 60 days: from June 5, 2024 to August 4, 2024.

Vycheslav Blazhko was the owner and the admin of the popular telegram group “Supernova_plus” followed by 130.000 people, and he didn’t know that spreading information about moving military equipment is severely forbidden. Now he’s facing up to 8 years in prison.

He declares himself innocent as he claims that the publishing was unintentional and it was not done to harm the Armed Forces Of Ukraine. This is a reminder to all Ukrainian people to never spread information about military equipment or film the work of air defenses .

  1. makes sense that they don’t want certain videos or images to be made public.

at the same time, it’s completely logical that someone may not understand specific cases.

and bloggers like supernova are a vital part of keeping critical foreign support of Ukraine alive. The more the world sees, the less they can close their eyes and turn their backs.

I’ve watched countless videos from this person and they’ve kept me informed and engaged beyond what I would normally be.

complicated, but hopefully they look for any malicious intent and keep a fair outlook.

  2. Really hope that he will be first among many more (hope to see same news about “труха”). There are too many people trying to hype about war and news.

Plus at this point, if you don’t post your news in Ukrainian, are you really one of us?

  3. i hope they’ll just make an example of him. i like supernova, such good source. they could just sentence him to fundraise for ZSU for example…

  4. he should know better. people may have died from his info

  5. I understand what people are saying, but as the saying goes “Loose lips, sink ships.” This is war, and it’s deadly serious. Ukraine’s government should control the info coming out of Ukraine. As an American, I’m telling you that American support is tenuous. If F-16s show up in Ukraine and are immediately destroyed, Americans are going to hate that. As much as I support Ukraine, seeing that M1 Abrams in Red Square made my stomach turn. I want to see our weapons being put to good use (I know many will be lost in battle), not blown up in a hangar because some YouTuber wanted to get a scoop.

  6. > he didn’t know that spreading information about moving military equipment is severely forbidden

    Yeah, I call bullshit.

    Also, never heard of him

  7. He’s far too knowledgeable to claim that he didn’t know that it was against the law or even to realize that it might get Ukrainian soldiers killed or lead to the loss of Ukrainian equipment.

Depending on what information you shared it’s possible that he didn’t realize it was sensitive information but saying he didn’t know it was illegal to share sense of information is utter b*llsh*t.

  8. > he didn’t know that spreading information about moving military equipment is severely forbidden

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    THAT’S HIS DEFENSE?

  9. Did he already serve in the Ukrainian forces? If not, send him to the front and let him pay it back in a constructive way.

  10. When it comes to spies and traitors I more in favour of WW2 standards.
