6. I HATE articles like this where they don’t provide median values or distribution brackets. The vast majority of this is wealthy boomer men being survived by boomer women, that’s extremely concentrated among the 2%.

   On average, people are 85 when they transfer this wealth, giving surviving spouses years to manage these large sums.

   That is interesting. As is the title seeing as women, on average, tend to demonstrate higher levels of empathy and philanthropic behavior compared to men.
