Hi all
I moved to Germany a year ago as a student. Back then I didn't need Schufa to rent my current place. Now I'm looking for another place and almost all the landlords want one. So, I tried to get my Schufa certificate, and didn't research much that a free version exists.
I stumbled upon this website www.meine-onlineauskunft.de and gave away my information, without reading much (I know it is a mistake on my part and I shouldn't have done anything without research). As soon as I confirmed my information, I received 3 back-to-back emails stating that I need to pay within 14 days and that I cannot withdraw the service, since I've signed my right way. What was more fishy was that 2 of those emails were sent by another entity, named Schufa Selbstauskunft .
As if that wasn't enough to scare me, I read on some past reddit posts that you won't always receive the Schufa document, and sometimes they will send debt emails even after making the payment.
I emailed their customer care regarding the withdrawal of the service, just to take chance, and they obviously replied that they cannot, but they also mentioned that they use third party for payment. They also don't have any telephone helpline/contact number.
I have no idea what I should do now. I request your kind help.

The thing is, they aren’t quite a scam – not in the usual sense. It’s basically [this trick](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBTnz_FjVws) applied on a different service.
If they don’t deliver the document, maybe you can do something about (by paying a lot more for a lawyer), but other than that, you are out of your money and now someone has your personal information.
