LIVE: Biden drops out, Harris picks up endorsement, Vance speaks, Secret Service, news | LiveNOW FOX

President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race for the White House on Sunday, ending his bid for reelection after a tough debate with former President Donald Trump raised doubts.

JD Vance speaks at a campaign rally as the new VP pick for former President Trump.

Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris by stating on X, “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said the contest for the White House is a ‘two-man race’ and he believes he can beat former President Donald Trump.

TRUMP LATEST NEWS: The Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee issued a subpoena for the Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheatle, to testify before the committee as they look into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

Republican leaders in both the House and the Senate are calling on Cheatle to resign, but the director says she has no intention of resigning.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said, “the lack of transparency and failure to cooperate” with the committee led into question Cheatle’s ability to lead the Secret Service.
