Hey guys, I’m visiting Germany right now and I’m at a family members house who does not have roaches at all but on the patio nearby a forest there are these bugs. Just wondering if anyone knows what they are? They look like roaches

They look like roaches because they are roaches. Probably a [Bernstein-Waldschabe](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernstein-Waldschabe), one of over 4500 completely harmless species of roaches.
After bringing one of them home to Japan, I told my mom that she has roaches at home. But these are harmless, they usually live in forests and eat leaves and such. They run into houses to cool down a bit. But they cannot eat anything we eat, so if they get stuck inside, they won’t survive for long and die, thus no risk of an infestation.
