So the “prize” is affordable housing? This is very sad.
governments build an affordable housing rental building.. even if done completely fairly, it helps 200 people.
meanwhile, 60k of their citizens need the same help (where i live)
if it’s random (subject to being eligible), i guess it’s at least “fair”…. but i foresee the co-op board wanting to screen for the right type of person. so, of course no MAGAs as they are not the right type of person (and i hate MAGAs.. but who am i to say who can be eligible for subsidized housing)
With the income limit, she now has an incentive to not work as hard to advance her career because she can lose affordable housing. She has affordable housing but it will come at sacrificing other opportunities.
