  1. Absolute farce. 30k a week we’re being charged. I see a tribunal in 10 years investigating this bollocks.

  2. I read it casually and my brain changed it to “per year”. That sounds about right.

    On re-read…PER WEEK 🫨

  3. As ever anything that the government touches costs a multiple of what private enterprise would pay for exactly the same thing.

  4. Keep the immigration money flowing, fill the pockets of vested interests.

  5. Lol is there any aspect of Ireland right now that isnt gouging

  6. ‘We need a contract for fencing fast.’ Cue ‘I have a fella, but he’s not cheap.’

  7. The vast majority of the migration system at the minute is one big scam.

  8. Tis but a trifle compared to the circular industry that is tents.

  9. It’s the same as everything. The general public would be charged X for something but once they see that it’s a government contract, they add zeros and nobody seems to give a shit. I’m a teacher and we just got an extension on our school. Four classrooms, two special needs rooms and a bathroom- 2.5 million. I think the entire building is 400 square meters. If you were to build that size of a house right now it’d be 700k max. I know you have more safety standards to tick off but not 1.8 million worth

  10. Are they buying them off the sane place the guards value their drug seizures?

  11. Why are we fencing on the grand canal? Do we even compete in fencing at the Olympics?

  12. Surely it would be cheaper to pay Gardaí overtime to patrol the canal 24/7?

Anyone start setting up tents, move them on or contact someone to bring them to whatever other are they’re supposed to be in

  13. How?

If they are renting them for that money someone needs to be fired.

**Buy the fucking things and keep them**

  14. Remember when Denis O’Brien’s company (Actavo?) were making a mint from all the barriers for the water meter protesters??

Yeah well that’s what’s happening again here
