It’s the same as everything. The general public would be charged X for something but once they see that it’s a government contract, they add zeros and nobody seems to give a shit. I’m a teacher and we just got an extension on our school. Four classrooms, two special needs rooms and a bathroom- 2.5 million. I think the entire building is 400 square meters. If you were to build that size of a house right now it’d be 700k max. I know you have more safety standards to tick off but not 1.8 million worth
Are they buying them off the sane place the guards value their drug seizures?
Why are we fencing on the grand canal? Do we even compete in fencing at the Olympics?
Surely it would be cheaper to pay Gardaí overtime to patrol the canal 24/7?
