Hello!
I'm 35 and planning on traveling to Norway at the end of August. I'm thinking of renting a car in Bergen and dong a 3-4 day road trip that will end back in Bergen to hike fjords and stay in small villages along the way. I don't mind driving a few hours each day to get to different places. I've read some posts about there being so many fjords and ways to avoid the crowds, which I'm interested in but I'm just hoping someone could (literally) point me in the right direction with regards to towns to stay in and hikes to do for a moderate-challenging hiker who loves the views! I have looked at ut.no, so maybe just general areas or towns to stay in would be the most helpful. Not sure! Just looking for a way to get started since there seems to be a gazillion options. Any advice would be very appreciated!
Thank you so much!!!

The Hardangerfjord area is close to Bergen and has lots of little villages and many great hikes. Besides Trolltunga, one of the most well known trails among Norwegians is [Dronningstien](https://ut.no/turforslag/117080/hm-dronning-sonjas-panoramatur-dronningstien) (The Queen’s path).
You could also go to the north side of the Sognefjord. The south end is where you’ll find Nærøyfjord and touristy places like Flåm. But north of that you can stay for example in Balestrand, or go in the Lusterfjord to places like Solvorn or Luster.
