It seems like there have been a lot of patients escaping recently, there were 3 escapees at the weekend. Are all these escaped patients coming from the same facility?
Patients are allowed to walk out to release beds, either unsupervised leave or supervised leave, it’s nuts
People abscond from so called secure mental health facilities on a daily basis. MH units in this country are part of an inept institution, staffed by inept individuals. It puts the wider public at risk every day but nothing changes because there is never any consequence for them. Somehow they don’t suffer PR disasters each time because nobody apparently cares. Can you imagine if dangerous people were breaking out of police stations every day?
