“The Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Su-25 combat aircraft in the Pokrovsky direction, which, paired with another aircraft of the same type, tried to fire at the positions of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Forces reports.
“Anti-aircraft soldiers from a separate mechanized brigade named after cornet General Mark Bezruchko destroyed the second Su-25 attack aircraft this month,” the report says.
The previous Su-25 aircraft was shot down by the same unit on July 7.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is the Pokrovskoye direction that remains the hottest on the entire front line. There, over the past day, the Ukrainian military repelled 43 assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Panteleymonivka, Vozdvizhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Tymofiivka, Lozovatske, Progress, Novoselivka Perva, Vovcha, Yasnobrodivka, Umanskoye and Kalynove. “The largest concentration of enemy attacks was near Novooleksandrivka,” the Ukrainian military notes.”-Crimean Realities (RFE)

Unfortunately, the pilot ejected.
Hopefully the Ukrainians are able to capture the pilot that ejected. I would argue they are more valuable than the su25 that’s being flown, considering how much effort goes into training one.
Watched the video 3x, I could not see any evidence that the pilot had any clue he had an incoming missile, I didn’t see any chaff or flares, no evasive maneuvers etc… Or he could have been screaming in the radio incoming and the lead plane pilot said “Igor hold formation do you copy”😂

That video shows incredibly well how the missile intercepts the jet’s flight path.
Anyone knows what missile they use? I think you can hear a lock indication sound from it before launch.
What was it? RBS 90 or Javelin?
