This is the exact same as the Chinese government is doing in Xinjiang province with the Uyghurs, it’s not just putting them in detention camps and forcing them to marry with Han Chinese (which in and of itself is already bad enough) but also the systematic destruction of every mosque and other typical Uyghur building (over 1700+ buildings)
Think they also destroyed a Unesco heritage building in Crimea by building an entire new one over it and they’re doing the same with the Mariupol theatre

Similarly the Ukrainians previously banned the Russian [church](https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2023/october/ukraine-law-ban-russian-ukrainian-orthodox-church-uoc.html). I don’t know the status of the real estate.
