1. Because they’re too busy flinging sh!t at each other while the billionaires laugh and count cash.

2. Because not only were we stupid enough as a species to decide that everyone getting a personal transport device was ‘progress’, but stupid enough to build a world in which *not* having a personal transport device was a significant hindrance.

   We didn’t have to do this, and with the right political will it could be reversed. But you will notice that every time someone suggests moving in even the very, very slightest of directions to do that a bunch of angry dudes with 70-100% of their mortgage paid off and a suspiciously well-funded placard supplier come screaming out of the woodwork and banging on about The Great Reset or whatever.

3. You have to want to open your eyes to see. The only ones who can make real changes don’t want to, the cash is going to make everything better for them.
