  12. Wow that thing is cooking! I was there in 98 and it glowed brightly all day and especially at night. There was black ash on absolutely everything though.

    It’s where Zeus buried Enceladus. When earthquake was happening at our early years, we’d hold the Giant Enceladus as the culprit.

    That’s why in the news we use both Greek words, “Seismos hit” or “Enceladus hit”. We use the first term when the earthquake is happening horizontally, the second when happening vertically.

  15. Lmao there was a piece of something on my screen and as I scrolled down it looked like an eagle flying towards the volcanoes. I sat there waiting like omg what is doing, how is this bird so unphased

  16. Someone knows how close tourists can get to the national park near the Etna when there’s an eruption?

    I’d love to see it one day, although I imagine the views in Catania are already beautiful.

  19. My friend who leaves in Catania and has to shovel ashes from gutters, car, driveway and balconies would like to disagree with OP’s definition of “beautifully”.
