Almost half of Europe has the habit or tradition of removing shoes in home, according to [this Wikimedia Commons map](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tradition_of_removing_shoes_in_home.svg), but [another source](https://www.ballaratcleaningspecialists.com.au/please-remove-your-shoes/) shows that in countries like Belgium and Luxembourg it is also the norm.
As a Luxembourger or a foreigner living in Luxembourg, Do you have the habit of removing shoes in home?

Shoes are dirty and shouldn’t be worn in the home.
By having relatives and friends in countries marked as blue, I can assure you that none of them keep wearing their city shoes, high heels, boots, etc. once they are home, so unsure what the differences in habits really are.
A more dividing question would be whether y’all remove the shoes in someone else’s house
