It’s a VOR calibration flight for Belfast VOR. It flies in a circle of known radius to confirm the DME (Distance measuring equipment) gives the correct distance to the pilots, and also checks the correct radial bearings are given (bearing of the line between the aircraft and VOR)
Checking for a flat earth.. spoiler they failed.
Very wisely avoided a direct flyover of Craigavon.
Pythagorean freak, ban this unnatural behaviour, if god wanted me to go round in circles he’d only have nailed one of my feet to the floor.
