  1. Dude bought at the peak and is selling now 🤣 🤣 🤣

  2. Elon would have better luck throwing the money into a dark hole in the ground.

  3. I swear he did this just to get Vance in. Mission Accomplished, time to step back on his promise.

  4. “There is absolutely nothing to be said for government by a plutocracy, for government by men very powerful in certain lines and gifted with the money touch, but with ideals which in their essence are merely those of so many glorified pawnbrokers.”

    – Theodore Roosevelt

    Elon is a glorified pawnbroker.

  5. Yeah, maybe don’t donate to the guy who wants to end the subsidies that let your declining car company keep existing.

  6. Alternative headline: Man who spent life walking back from overzealous claims walks back from new overzealous claim.

I hope his management teams get workmans comp for all the whiplash injuries they have to endure.

  7. Damn Kamala has the GOP apparatus shook if Elon is pulling out.

  8. In the article, he cited meritocracy as a reason he supports Republicans. You can’t make this up.

  9. That’s an about face if I ever heard one. Suddenly he’s not so confident anymore.

  10. He was either lying from the start, released he alienated his main customer base, or realized that Trump isn’t a sure thing anymore and backed down to avoid the embarrassment

  11. Additionally, Musk spoke about the “core values” that make America great, which he thinks the Republican party embodies more so than the Democrats.

“One of those values being meritocracy, as much meritocracy as possible, so you get ahead as a function of your skill, and nothing else,” Musk said.

Idiotic statement since Trump wants to get rid of that whole system in favor of appointing loyalists.

  12. What a coward lmao. And there are people who call him one of the ‘smartest men alive’.

  13. “I don’t subscribe to cult of personality…. Unless it’s my own”.

  14. Trump is FUMING right now. His bronzer is probably a mess.

  15. “When Peterson pressed Musk for why he was switching to Trump, after long voting Democratic, Musk said that Democrats had become the party of censorship.”

    That’s ass-backwards, Musk.

  16. “He also added that one of the principles the PAC aligned with was “freedom,” particularly freedom from “as much government intervention as possible.” The hand of government gets heavier every year, and if we don’t roll back some restrictions and regulations, eventually, “everything will be illegal,” Musk said.”

Uuumm…like books, reproductive health care, marrying who you love, voting….I could go on.

  17. Trump promised him EV credits and got on stage a few days later and said the exact opposite 😂

  18. I read the article (it’s short). It sounds like the headline is misleading. He didn’t say he’s not giving $45M to his America PAC. He said he’s not donating to Trump. One possible interpretation is he’s still giving $45 to the PAC.

Maybe watching the interview with Petersen would make it more clear what the situation is but I haven’t watched it and don’t plan to.

  19. > Musk also criticized a lawsuit that the Justice Department—under President Joe Biden’s administration— launched against his company SpaceX, last year, alleging that **Musk discouraged refugees and asylum seekers from applying to work at the aerospace company**. A court order later blocked the U.S. from pursuing the lawsuit.

    But says:

    > Musk spoke about the “core values” that make America great… “One of those values being meritocracy, as much meritocracy as possible, so you get ahead as a function of your skill, and nothing else,”

    So that’s another lie lmao.

  20. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such a sudden and drastic change in sentiment across the board and I’m loving it

  21. Isn’t it cool that billionaires can buy elections? /s

SCOTUS has been ratfucking America long before overturning Roe v Wade.
