  1. Thanks for the offer, but it’s a long time ago I passed 20 years of age.

Thanks for reminding me I am old and I wasted most of my life away. It was just what I needed to brighten my day.

  2. Another stupid initiative, kids of that ages don’t travel much. 18-19 you are still in high school and 20 you need the money for university

  3. unfortunately prices are crazy high and not for the average citizen of all EU countries. airplanes are way cheaper. they keep building high speed rail all over europe but for the most is only for the rich. average person can’t afford. just go check the passes and ticket prices when compared to airplanes.
I was planing an inter rail and just scrap the idea. I will do the same thing but via air. It will save me like 80%. It’s sad but it’s true.

  4. I won a ticket last year and the past summer I went interrailing for a month with my friends and it was amazing! Not expensive at all if you spend some time looking for cheap, yet okay hostels.

  5. Wonder what train route I would have to take so I could get to Nice, Finland is basicly and island when it comes to going to any country in the EU

  6. I’m 16 and i wanna go to Germany sooooo bad and this would be perfect, but i hope they at least do this thing the next years as well.

  7. I did this over a decade ago and couldn’t recommend it enough. It was cheapish then, but having it as an option for free is even better.

A tip I found useful: to maximise your time in each place try and do as many overnight trains as possible. Saves you paying for accomodation as well.

  8. Interrail is well worth it. I was lucky enough to get a ticket paid for by my uni (I was presenting at a conference in Florence and a 10 day ticket was cheaper than the return flight, so they agreed to expense it)

Wonderful experience. If you’re on the fence, apply.
