I don’t doubt for a second that many rus are ending themselves daily just like this. I mean whats the wiki list up to now 80? Its just this one looks super weird to me. No blood or exit hole when zoomed in. That much smoke coming out the backside suppose exit wound? The bullet hitting the ground a few meters behind him with such force still after passing through a body that it kicked up all that dirt? The only thing i can think of is that it was a clean through and through. That edit that jumps the screen right at the moment it happens sucks. Why the short edit too. usually these videos are pretty clear and dry and you can see what happens.
It looks like he was holding it at the right angle to where the bullet would pass under his armpit or to the side of his ribs making it seem like he did it but dint.
At this point i’m undecided if he actually did it or was playing possum but TBH it doesn’t really matter because i’m sure the UA drone operator still sent one in to make sure.
I don’t think we can appreciate the horrors of what modern warfare is going to entail. We spent the last 9 months looking at asymmetric warfare between a terrorist organization like Hamas, and the IDF< and yeah, we are seeing horrific images from Hamas as propaganda.
But this is a war between two relatively modern armies, utilizing relatively modern techniques such as drone warfare. I watched videos of Russian soldiers getting their legs blown off and within seconds being swarmed by tens of thousands of flies. They know they will not make it but they can’t even try to escape, absolute agony. And this isn’t on Instagram, it’s not on twitter, it’s not on tik tok. It’s here. In all it’s horror.
As someone who’s family is from Ukraine, as someone who is from the USSR I hope history remembers Putin like they remember Hitler.
