An unusual heatwave has hit northern Norway. Temperatures in July here are now much higher than in the South of Norway. How are the locals coping with the heat? We spoke to them at Grense Jakobselv – the most popular beach in the Barents Sea near Kirkenes, just a few meters from Norway’s border with Russia.
I feel like we’ll hear shit like this a lot from rich people in the coming years as they fly away in their private jets from the equatorial regions in summer months to vacation in the more comfortable northern regions
Doubt.
Dumbest last words…. But they do remind me of a magazine article I read about a construction boom in Nuuk Greenland a few years ago. With the warming temperatures and lengthening pleasant season, it seems homeowners suddenly wanted to add exterior decks.
Don’t you worry, just have patience, it’s not going to be long.
It’s like listening to people on Easter Island admiring the improved view as they progressively cut down every single tree on the island. Our inability to collectively act on foresight will be the downfall of our species.
It’s all fun and games until gulf stream starts to malfunction.
