Right wing propaganda is why they think the economy is shit.
Idiots don’t understand simple definitions
>For many, the *fact* that inflation currently stands around 3% backs the notion that the Federal Reserve will soon cut interest rates, easing pressure on the economy.
That’s more of a claim, by the government, a government with a motive to understate inflation, than it is a “fact.”
Fact: 2 + 2 = 4.
Claim: The inflation rate is only ~3%.
It would be more accurate if the government said, *the way we are measuring it, inflation is only ~3%.*
Pretty simple it’s because allot of people are struggling to pay for the basics. Not everyone has a job that pays $100,000 and up. Plenty of people making $50,000 a year are barely making it.
Haven’t read these comments but I could guess what they say
Because they don’t know the definition of the word
They read the comments section of r/ economy.
Or get their news from Places with a negative bias.
The majority of Americans are idiots?
Is that the answer, u/ifyouseekme69 ?
The economy is really doing fantastic you just don’t understand it.
I work in a high end cabinet / furniture making shop. The only people coming in and buying our stuff / getting work done is wealthy retired boomers or tech bros who moved from the city to our cheaper community to work remote.
