  19. Regardless if the president of the united states was the most staunch defender of Ukraine, European countries should work together to form a European defense. If Russia were to start shit with nato it would guarantee be alongside China making a play for Taiwan which would split the US on two fronts. Despite our doctrine being to fight two wars on two fronts, having to actively commit to that would drain support and resources quickly, and europe would be left to either pick up slack or hold the bag.
