  1. Who didn’t think the US was driving the climate crisis?

  2. Hard for the US to be a climate leader when we use the most oil in the world, and by an overwhelming margin.

When 333 million people use almost as much oil as China (1.4 billion), India (another 1.4 billion), and Japan (125 million), all you’re doing is leading the world into catastrophe.

Any reduction in the quantity of oil produced would hit the US the hardest because every aspect of the typical American lifestyle is drenched in oil.
