Workers at Cork and Sligo-based call centre company Abtran launch ballot on possible industrial action

2. Have worked in Abtran myself, worst place I’ve ever worked hands down. Glad that the IWU have run with this.

3. Abtran will do what many other outsourcing companies have done in the past.

   They will refuse to engage with the union.

4. In common in other places where I’ve worked that refuse to deal with a union, it really sounds like a dismal, bottom shelf place to work.

6. These call center companies prey on working class, run the places like sweatshops and pay pittance.

   I’m very surprised the union has only a 10% uptake. It’s a horrible place to work, the company is disgusting and the staff all miserable.
