  4. I’ve been doing research on the rumored VP candidates, as I was not familiar with all of them. I was exposed to Mark Kelly multiple times in my life so I am fairly well-aware of his professional careers, his ideology, his background.

    Mark Kelly seems to be the most obvious choice. People always say VPs don’t swing states often — that it is very rare — but Mark Kelly has name recognition nationally and for uplifting reasons.

    All of this to not even make note of the Border, the terrible gun violence he has personally experienced the aftermath of, well aware of the toll it takes, the fact that he’s a **goddamn Astronaut**….

    He’s extremely obvious as a pick — I love to hear Beshear speak, but Mark Kelly can bring the heat as well.

  5. He was my second pick after Roy Cooper. I don’t like the vibes of Shapiro leaving mid-term to be VP. At least the governor of AZ gets to appointment Mark Kellys replacement.

  9. Mark Kelly keeps the momentum going. Former military and NASA experience. We don’t want an uninspiring pick that will suck the oxygen out of the momentum.

  11. He’s become my favorite. I think Shapiro might be able to carry PA as governor alone. Kelly can help in a HUGE way with centrists and even Libertarian non-Trumper types. I think he’s our guy.

  12. Love the idea of Harris/Kelly!! I was nervous at first he might be anti-labor but then I looked into it and there’s a lot of propaganda about that. He’s done a lot of pro labor things, and in 2021 needed something clarified about a bill before he voted for it, but he spoke in huge support of large sections of the bill, and wanted those to go through.

  18. Please PLEASE. Mark will make this ticket COMPLETE, he can speak to STEAM Education, Military service, advocacy for gun safety, being a supportive spouse, foreign policy in collaboration on large projects (like the ISS), and SO MUCH MORE!!!

  24. Mark Kelly will be voted into the VP position by votes cast by children he once helped with science projects while he was on the ISS.

  25. He HAS to be the VP. Most people are pretty stupid and vote purely on emotion and optics.

    Look at how many people were not going to vote at all because Biden was boring despite the opposition winning meaning the death of democracy and now suddenly we have somebody new and we have everyone coming out of the wood work.

    A combat veteran fucking Astronaut! Whose wife was shot! He has a crazy ass story that would get people excited.

  26. If not Beshear, definitely Kelly. Honestly, even though I love Beshear, Kelly might be the smarter pick. Giving Americans the opportunity to vote for an astronaut is a very good strategy. When my gen x, independent Mom heard Kelly was being considered, the first thing she said was “he’s good people.”

  28. As an Arizonan this makes me so excited!! It would be amazing if he was the VP pick! He’s a local hero. His wife is a local hero. We love them both. They would bring so much good to the ticket!

  30. Weeks ago i predicted Harris/Whitmer to be the ticket because i thought it made perfect sense for two female prosecutors to be running against the rapist felon in the abortion election. But after listening to the logic behind why Vance was such a bad pick for Trump now that Biden’s dropped out it’s clear that i was making the same mistake.

    Someone like Kelly would be a much better choice. I already think she’s going to win but having someone like Kelly who isn’t a life-long politician, a senator from a border state, a motherfucking astronaut, is a much better choice.

  33. This ticket blows my mind and I really hope it happens. The sheer intelligence between him and Harris gives me huge hope.

    This feels like the rush during the Obama campaign. I know it’s just been a few days but I can feel it with every single person I talk to. People who were depressed and beaten down a few weeks ago have a spring in their step and they’re smiling.
