  1. > Get your money up front

…and carry sunflower seeds in your pockets.

  2. Yes and $1,500 extra if you are eaten by maggots or dogs!

  3. they could offer one million it wouldnt matter russians know bs when they see it….they will have to keep dragging people to that front except from the really poor un educated regions who doenst see a future anyway and will take the gamble.

  4. Hand it over to mom or your wife. You’ll never see a penny of it when your dying in the dirt from a frag or bullet wound.

Russia doesn’t go back for you after you get shot.

  5. In actuality they will be lucky if their family gats a sack of onions.

  6. Interesting. They might start losing people who matter.

  7. My guess is they aren’t getting that money for the most part before they get 200’d, no knock on effects in other parts of Russian society where spent funds would most likely show up: no sudden surge in alcohol buying, no surge in local priests and fortune tellers buying Mercedes from Kazakhstan, cigarette imports into Russia flat, no gunfights over gambling disputes, etc. Putin could raise it to $100k US and it’ll cost him little because, unlike the 70s rock anthem, the ‘boys’ won’t be back in town.

  8. they are skimping they should have offered $50000 since they will never pay it

    (no body no lada)

  9. It’s funny that with a good IT job in the West, you can earn this amount in 1-2 months. There’s no need to die for it. But the Russian economy must be so terrible that people may accept it. They should rather fight against their government to get a better income without dying.

  10. The really eye opening bit is that they often believe that the contract is only 6 months, because the recruiter told them so. In fact contracts are infinite, because what it says on paper, even if it says that and they can read and do read it, is overruled by the law they passed long ago.

Not only they do not know what the state of affairs at the front really is, they don’t even know what they are signing even in the most basic terms. And of course every one is told that they will be on a guard duty in the rear.

  11. This is how they select the poor, minorities, and people mental health problems to go first into the meat grinder before another general mobilization.

  12. What strikes me about this is that they’re offering this to Moscow residents.

People inside the ring don’t go to war until last resort, it’s the chumps from the sticks that go first.
I cannot believe Putin has already exhaused the meat supply from the poorer and far-flung regions of the RF.

It’s probably more complex than that, but it did grab my attention.

  13. If true, I’m sure they don’t get anything until the end of their service. Which is death, No Body, No proof, No Money.

  14. After three years everybody knows what the chances of survival are.

    Still they sign up.

I assume they deserve what is coming in order to push up the global IQ.

  15. Tempting offer of $22,000 to get your brains blown out to appease the ego of the great dictator.

“Some (*all) of you may (*will) die, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make”.

  16. $22k to get your leg blown off by FPV drone and die in a ditch… I’d pass

  17. All is going as planned…but must be going awfully wrong for Putller to be recruiting in Moscow region…

  18. What good is any amount of money if your “dead”?

  19. It’s all great on paper but…

IRL It’s a bag of Onions.. Fucking idiot’s

  20. Hope they talk about their salaries while on the frontlines. Sure to improve morale amongst the cheaper soldiers who’ve been fighting a long time now for sacks of potatoes.

  21. Up front or Walkman when they die or is it a bag of potato’s

  22. “Honey, I need a new Gucci bag. Could you go to the recruitment office and sign up for a year?”

  23. It’s easy to promise extravagant salaries, if you’re never gonna pay then

  24. That’s interesting, they were only drafting the poorer Russians from the rural east and gave them little to nothing, but they offer the western urban city folk thousands of dollars? If they were smart they’d know they’re offering that much because they don’t expect them to come back.

  25. Not dollars, rubles.

They are just making rubles even more worthless, thats what happens when you “print” money

  26. Mad Vlad is getting desperate for new meat, he can offer all he wants no one will be able to collect when they’re dead.

  27. Anyone taking up the offer would earn as much as 5.2 million rubles ($59,600) in their first year of service, the statement added…..

  28. I wonder how soon until young men start being kidnapped in the night in the moscow outskirts

  29. They can offer even 1000000000. What does it matter if no need to pay for dead ones.

  30. Getting 4 years worth of income as a sign on bonus is pretty generous. The US offers about that much (usually a little more), but our average monthly income is around $7,900. Russia’s is about $600. Money is no good if you are dead however and even such a large enlistment bonus won’t feed your family for long.

  31. “Here’s your $22k. Sign here. Congratulations. You are now enlisted in the army. You want a gun and body armour? That will be $22k please.”
