Hopefully he ends up in prison, and the lovely people in there can sort this problem. Fucking disgusting behaviour.
I think I figured it out.
The male police officer was obviously shagging the female police officer who had her nose broken by the guy they were restraining.
He probably wanted a bit of payback.

To be fair the boys they were restraining were absolute cunts. However the force used was excessive, that punt and stomp to the head was fucking ridiculous

Well, let’s just say I’m really happy Reddit comment sections aren’t in charge of setting the rules around police conduct in UK.
From the police twitter [post](https://x.com/gmpolice/status/1816126944791937485)
> Officers were called to reports of an altercation between members of the public in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport.
> Whilst attempting to arrest one of the suspects of the earlier altercation, three officers were subject to a violent assault, where they were punched to the ground.
> A female officer suffered a broken nose and all three were taken to hospital for treatment.
> As the attending officers were firearms officers, there was a clear risk during this assault of their firearms being taken from them.
> Four men were arrested at the scene for affray and assault on emergency service workers.
> We acknowledge the concerns of the conduct within the video, and our Professional Standards Directorate are assessing this.”
> Greater Manchester Police (24th July 4.03pm)
Obviously the officer was in the wrong and should be punished. But I have zero sympathy for the guys he battered.

I think ten years would be sufficient if he was a member of the public.
I also think the sentences of people abusing positions of power should automatically be doubled.
This guy belongs in a prison cell, he attacks the first guy which is bad enough, but some people are trying to justify it because they believe he was the one to break the other officer’s nose.
After kicking the first guy in the head twice, he then moves onto the guy sat down with hands on head, tells him to get down which he clearly cooperates with, and then attacks him too and follows up by striking him on the back of his head when he’s on the floor.
Attacking not one but two people who are no longer a threat in the back of the head deserves serious prison time.
Oh this man has kicked his career away. It was so unnecessary. If – and I say if – you’ve got them bang to rights for what they did just let the pertinent processes run their course. He just did not need to do it at all. Definitely some hormonal or psychological issues underpinning this; he is a danger and needs to be removed from the force.
Most employees at that airport have a severe god complex to begin with.
Regardless of whatever that guy did prior to being arrested. It is absolutely unacceptable for anyone who is already incapacitated to be kicked in the head and curb stomped by anyone, even more so by a police officer in combat boots. If something like this had happened in America there would be riots in the street and stores being looted.
Someone can “deserve” to be kicked in the head for doing a bad thing. But this type of brutality is more like Russian policing than that of western policing. We should not aspire to be like Russia.
The policeman is in the wrong but he’s the one I have empathy for. I used to work for a charity and we dealt with hugely challenging people. It’s so so so tough. You started out wanting to help everyone and to make a difference then they eroded away at you. It wasn’t one difficult person a day it was sometimes several a day. Situations got heated at times and if someone assaulted my colleagues, particularly a male on my female colleagues I’d likely have lost the plot as well and regretted my actions. No one deserves kicked in the head but if men came into your work, attacked your colleagues and broke a woman’s nose I imagine most people would go insane. He’s a policeman and should have a higher standard but he’s a policeman in the UK in 2024. He’s overworked, underpaid, regularly abused and assaulted. Clearly a young man as well and being a young guy in the UK isn’t easy either as we all know too well. I hope the outcome isn’t a smear campaign against police but instead a chance to improve working conditions for them all so we don’t get to a scenario where our police officers are beaten physically, and beaten mentally so they have this reaction
Stomp was too much but the guy saw red after the scallies assaulted his colleagues. Should just sack him and be done with it.
Stomping on someone’s head is attempted murder
Regardless of the situation we want calm police officers who don’t crack under pressure
Obviously emotions took over, from what’s been reported several officers were injured including a female officer receiving a broken nose.
Don’t know how true the Police statement is that they tried to grab a firearm officers weapon, even still they could of used strong force to restrain the individuals and be completely justified, without kicking them in the head.
The kick and stamp was excessive. Still got no sympathy for the type of person who sees armed officers and thinks “yeah I’ll have a swing”
I hope he keeps his job, I’d rather the police go over the top with violent dickheads in airports.
What happens in other countries when you attack the police in airports?
Kind of a wider question: why are police allowed to stop people from filming them doing their jobs?
Obviously you can’t film them on private property (unless the property owner is you or is a friend of yours which is usually the case) but in public? Do they actually have power to stop you filming them? Why don’t they ever want to be filmed?
After all if they’re not doing anything wrong then they shouldn’t care if they’re being filmed or not?
Further proof that every single copper is like this.
Completely agree with your post, unfortunately it will be lost on the OP. I await to hear their opinion on what should happen to the men arrested for their criminality. I am sure they deserve the same treatment….
However, it got me thinking. Maybe, the solution to the over crowding in prison’s is not to release them early but set up some kind of Pay Per View Gladiator event. Where prisoners get to fight other prisoners for their freedom. It would certainly reduce numbers and as an extra bonus raise money for the government’s coffers.
Can anyone explain whether the police officer in question already broke the law? It’s particularly terrible that he had a gun.
If he is well trained but couldn’t control his emotions simply because some of her colleagues were injured by the guy who was later disproportionately attacked by the police officer, he should kindly quit his job instead of putting the public’s life, including my life, at risk.
Completely lost control and easy way to lose your job.
