Seattle and Portland have traded off on this title for years now. I’m sorry that the smoke problem has spread and so many more people have to experience it. I grew up on the East Coast and thought this was the price of living near mountains and expansive wild forests, but it’s really the price of emitting so much greenhouse gas, and nowhere is safe.
