Ukraine Blocks Russian Oil Transit to Hungary

Ukraine has banned Russian oil transit to Hungary, sparking arbitration talks with the EU.   4. Better to bring Ukraine in from the rain/reign of terror to EU and send Orban out to enjoy the outcome of his backstabbing and manipulation. If Hungarians don't care about the comfort of Ukrainian families why expect sympathy. Cosy comfort going to be thin on the ground everywhere this winter if Putin can't be brought back to sanity.   6. From Canada here. As heartbreaking as it is for Ukrainians, this war is revealing Europe to itself, and to the world. While most European countries are supporting Ukraine to some extent, Europe is very slow in either recognizing problems, or acting on them together. Now that the Yanks have gone nuts, Europeans are going to have to provide their own security. That's not a bad thing. There are already way too many Canadian and American soldiers buried in Europe. I'd be pretty upset if my kids had to fight there because Europe didn't man up and defend itself. The Poles get it. The Baltic three get it.

  10. Hungary has lost their mind. No way is the correct answer. If oil is started in this pipeline Ukraine should cut it and start using it themselves.

  12. Orban has a track record of pleasing Putin and the Kremlin. His recent sleazy (pretending to be a diplomat) trip to Kiev then Moscow and then to Xi in China backfired on him. The first step is to kick him and his citizens out of the EU.Then Orban and his people can decide how much of Hungary they want to give to Putin. Hungarians must be craving the nostalgia of the brutal tyrannical rule of Russia in 1956, yes?

  21. I don't really understand this Hungarian love for Russia. Apparently they don't really remember the 1956 Hungarian revolution? Certainly, Czechia remembers 1968. Czechs have no love for Russia & support Ukraine.

  34. Hungary and Slovakia have known for 2 1/2 years that their cheap Rusky gas was going away and it needed other options so what has Orban been doing except block the EU and kiss Putin’s arse!

  35. Hungary had 2 and a half years to find an alternative , if they were so worried about energy security they should have looked for alternatives. Surprised Ukraine waited so long.
