  8. Before Trump, the ultra rightists would keep things like this secret. They would play crazy long games like not enacting objectively terrible policies until the last year of a term, or in the wake of a national disaster, or burying it 96 pages into a bill that they rush the vote for.

    Post Trump republicans are fine with publishing their long-term plan for a dystopian American Monarchy online, and not even password-protecting it.

    It’s time for the GOP to fade into obscurity, and a closer to center right wing party to gain prominence.

    “Did you know that tax-exempt organizations under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) are prohibited from participating in politics, including but not limited to endorsing or supporting a specific political candidate or writing and publishing a political manifesto during a presidential campaign?”

    From the IRS: “The IRS website states that 501(c)(3) organizations “may not publish or distribute printed statements or make oral statements on behalf of, or in opposition to, a candidate for public office. Consequently, a written or oral endorsement of a candidate is strictly forbidden.”

    So while I’m thankful their arrogance had them publish their plan, they should face consequences for breaking multiple federal laws. After all, they’re the party of ‘law & order’, so lets make sure we hold them accountable.

  30. The attempts to distance Trump from Project 2025 are funny as hell, because it shows just how unpopular and weird parts of it are. “Look at our platform, guys! It’s so nonthreatening! Pay no attention to the men behind the curtain!”

Like we all know politicians and corrupt groups pull strings behind the scenes that the average person doesn’t know about. So why the Hell were they so open about their plan to take down American democracy?

    I’m assuming they’re just way too full of themselves and didn’t think it would backfire.

  33. This is a valid concern, while Trump himself has said it’s rubbish, Trump is old, it’s quite likely a vote for Trump is a vote for J.D. Vance. Vance wrote the forward of Project 2025. He would likely be trying to push it.
