Ukrainian drone strike damages strategic Russian ferry

   >The Ukrainian military said on the Telegram platform that the attack had “significantly damaged” the “Slavianin” vessel. According to Ukraine’s general staff, the ferry has been used to “transport railway cars, vehicles and containers for military purposes” in the region.

   >One person was killed and five were injured as a result of a fire that broke out on the ship, according to the regional governor, Veniamin Kondratyev.

   >The blaze was later put out, according to a source from the emergency services cited by Russian state news agency RIA.

   >Port Kavkaz, which houses a large cargo terminal, is located in the city of Kerch, where a large bridge connects the Russian Federation with Crimea via the Kerch Strait.

   >On Monday, Russians also suffered losses in the Krasnodar region, to the east of Crimea, after an attack by the Ukrainian armed forces.

   >Meanwhile, drone strikes on Monday resulted in a fire at the Rosneft oil refinery in Tuapse, which is among the ten largest in Russia and the only refinery on its Black Sea coast. It was the third attack on the refinery since the beginning of the year.
