  1. I got curious about what was said originally about the Queen Mothers will so I found the original times article that it seemed like most of the papers were citing. I also ended up also finding one of the original article’s for Diana’s will.

    Re: the Queen Mother

Pretty much the same stuff as before that she was a spendthrift, and while cash poor was asset rich. For example a monet bought for $2000 now (then) was worth around 15M by the time she died.

While the alleged trust had around 19M in it 14M was allocated to W&H another (?) trust with 6M was allocated to the rest of the grandchildren (if true RIP to the other grandchildren lol)

    Re: Diana’s will

I’d personally never seen the full statement in the article before.

    > At the time of her divorce settlement Buckingham Palace spokesperson said “The Princess has agreed that jewels given to her by the Royal family will remain with her for her lifetime and thereafter as is the tradition will revert to the family”.

    > individual items given to her by the Prince of Wales were for the Princess to leave to whom she wishes

    > the multimillion pound collection of jewelry given to the Princess by the Queen and the Queen Mother on her engagement and marriage will return to the Royal Family. Under the terms of her divorce settlement, the Princess agreed that items special to the Royal Family would revert to them on her death

I did know some of the jewels reverted back to the crown that were part of the royal collection but there’s always been a question about the sapphire in the pearl choker and where it ended up, so it seems like it’s back in the vault. Doesn’t say much about the jewels given to her during state visits and since the policy didn’t change until afterwards I’m presuming those were considered personal??

Anyways I found it interesting so I thought I’d share!
