What is this barcode tag in my Apple Original 1m c-to-c charging cable?

What is the tag on the bottom left? I don’t remember having this when I bought the cable in other country. Does this meant this cable is opened by others before/refurbished?
It’s an anti-theft tag, and given how much they’re robbing you with the price of that cable it should have made a warning sound in the shop as soon as you picked it up, to indicate the harm you are about to suffer.
The real question is why would you pay 25€ for an USB-C cable?

That’s an anti-theft tag. It’s permanently disabled by the checkout so the gates don’t ring when you walk out with it.
