Who is Trump’s shooter?

Former president Donald Trump said he is “supposed to be dead” as he described an attempt on his life as a “surreal” experience. He survived an attempted assassination after a gunman opened fire at his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, killing a spectator and wounding two others.

Trump’s right ear was grazed by a bullet in the shooting, leading to a historic image as he raised his fist in the air for a photo opportunity before being bundled away by Secret Service agents. Kamal and Camilla react to the aftermath of the events with US Editor Tony Diver in Washington and the government’s advisor on political violence and anti-extremism Lord Walney who warns assassination attempts becoming more likely.

  1. Context for his “registered republican” status:
In Pennsylvania the primaries are closed meaning only republicans can vote in the republican primary and dem in dem. It was a widely accepted strategy for democrats to register as republicans this season to vote for Nicky Hailey in the primary in order to stop Trump. This would line up with his political donations. With Crooks being so young we would have no other data on his voting record.

  2. Why do they always trot out the same garbage about outcast, loner etc he had an interest in guns derrrr he's American.

  3. Shooter is an American word. Gunman is an English word…please keep our languages separate. The grammar coming over the pond is also just incorrect and ugly. 🇬🇧

  4. People in the audience saw him on the roof before he fired and err shouting at him to get down, not sure if they knew he had. Gun though
