Ukrainian troops ‘desensitised’ to Putin’s attacks: Maxim Tucker reports from Ukraine

“They say it’s more or less calm, and as we’re sitting there we can hear cluster munitions and multiple launch rocket systems coming in.”

Ukrainain troops in some areas of the front line have become desensitised to Russian attacks as Ukraine tries recruit soldiers to relieve fighting infantry, The Times’ Maxim Tucker tells Frontline.

  16. Trump will hand Ukraine and Ukrainians to Russia for a Christmas present. He has no time for NATO, it does nothing for the US, never has. Americans wanrt o save money – therefore Trump will have a clear run. Attacks inside Europe like the Leyton (London) Warehouse and targeting of German Officers, poisonings in the past – are all Russian attacks on Europe. Article 5 – an attack on one is an attack on all etc etc – the Baltic States, and most former Soviet vassal states know that Trump will not help them. Time for Europeans to realise the USA mens nothing. !st Ukraine, then Poland or three Baltic states and Europe. Trump and Putin an alliance Americans LEARN appeasement has always pre-ceded all out war.

  23. This is a joke. I am a US Army Vet. and the first 2 minutes I was under fire for the first time was a wake up and then the switch flipped. Things went calm and It was (For your understanding) like I was a professional ice skater that just stepped out on the ice. I was in my element. Heart rate was normal and all was calm. To this day I still have a piece of bullet close to a nerve bundle near my left eye.

    These goblins are 20 miles away from the Orcs that are shooting at them. There is more danger in the Bronx on a Saturday night.
    Ukraine troops whined that Russia used CS gas. The operation was put doors. 5 of my brothers in arms and I were in a bar in Germany. A big fight broke out between Germans and Turks. German police threw in CS cannisters to clear the people out. When the German police came in all they found was us six American Army soldiers sitting in a booth drinking our beer. We had been exposed to the gas enough that it didn't bother us that much. Ukraine is weak.

    Ukraine´s Commander-in-Chief, General Oleksandr Syrskyi admits 2.5 years into Vladimir Putin’s SMO, he acknowledges the Russians are much better resourced. They have more of everything: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, soldiers. Their original 100,000-strong invasion force has grown to 520,000, he said, with a goal by the end of 2024 of 600,000 men.

    “When it comes to equipment, there is a ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 in their favour,” he said. Since 2022 the number of Russian tanks has “doubled” – from 1,700 to 3,500. Artillery systems have tripled, and armoured personnel carriers gone up from 4,500 to 8,900. “The enemy has a significant advantage in force and resources,” Syrskyi said. “Therefore, for us, the issue of supply, the issue of quality, is really at the forefront.”

    But…but….but…Times Radio told us Russia was running out of everything…multiple times.
