    The lad who’s head got kicked was released without charge but has got some kind of brain damage, his elder brother is a copper as well.

    Fudge me GM Police have got a massive sh1t show on their hands.

  2. I was against the sacking of the police when we had the cow incident a month ago. But seeing the amount of people defending this idiot for kicking someone’s head, lying on the floor… is just disgusting.

  5. There are two sides of the story but even after getting bits of both I think in the end the police force was excessive and unneeded and unprofessional.

    Was the cyst most likely caused by the kick to the head, or would it have been something that was already present?

The lawyer posted a video not long ago saying the guy hadn’t even been seen by doctors, now he’s been seen, in a British hospital no less with massive wait times, and had a full suite of tests done to assess he had a cyst on his brain. The lawyer is also defending these guys but says he doesn’t know what happened before the video.

    The lawyer reminds me of Saul Goodman with every appearance.

    GMP should release whatever CCTV or body cam footage they have. There’s a lot of rumours swirling around about what actually happened and they better get the story straight or we will see more protests outside police stations.

  12. What type of cyst? Because many people have cysts in brain, liver, kidney and have no symptoms whatsoever and it’s been there for years

  14. Thanks to that officers actions this will now probably leech 100,000s of pounds from the public purse. If the suspect ends up with permanent damage it could be millions.

    “But he punched a female officer”, yeah and that’s why the courts exist, to ensure he’s tried and punished properly.

  19. I saw a video on X of this guy standing filming and police spraying him with mace and tackling him. It’s definitely the same guy. Wondering if he is definitely the guy who was involved in the initial fight, or if the macing escalated to the fight and officers being injured. If so, while nothing justifies the fact that he broke a woman’s nose, the police started at 100 and completely escalated the situation.

  24. The video of the kick to head and stamp was excessive, but had been cut to only show one side of it. I’d like to see what built up to the them coppers pulling tasers and putting him on the ground. I’m sure he wasn’t some innocent little angel.

  25. This will all come out in the investigation and GMP will be held up as a shit show again and Andy Burnham will have to make another statement about how crap they really are

From what I understand someone broke a police woman’s nose and there was a scuffle.  In no way does that excuse an armed and highly trained weapons officer from booting a person in the face who is being cooperative and laying on the ground offering no threat!  The officer should be fired and stripped of his pension etc at the VERY least. 

  28. Cysts don’t develop that quickly. What that officer did was 100% out of order, but a kick in the head won’t cause a cyst that quickly
